Macromania Events, in partnership with the prestigious Fishermen’s Cove Dive Resort, invites you to attend a new diving experience: MACROMANIA 2023. 

The combination of our expertise, professionalism and passion for the ocean, allows us to organize this event: a perfect mix between underwater nature photography and tropical marine biology, that will be the best opportunity to explore and discover one the most famous marine biodiversity hot spots in the world: Puerto Galera, on the island of Mindoro.
The direct underwater observation and the workshops dedicated to underwater macro photography, biology and marine ecology, will allow us to learn how Nature had the opportunity to go wild along reef walls, as well as in the uncommon environments like mangrove forests (present in large parts of coast), or on typical send bottoms that are apparently unwelcoming, but they actually hold extraordinary creatures which have developed the most creative colours and surviving strategies.
Little jewels of Macromania live in such peculiar habitats: fishes, invertebrates and other micro-creatures whose shapes, colours and behaviours will leave even the most demanding underwater photographers speechless.
The goal of this new experience will be to understand how underwater photography and marine sciences are

linked everyday more, and they are a functional element for each other.
In order to shoot the precious moment, we need to know the reef and its communities, its rules and its inhabitants’ life, and we also need to shoot correctly and respectfully in order to catch the biological moment.
All the discussions during our meetings and seminars, together with our field diving experiences, will be translated into a little photo contest on site, judged by a committee who will overview the technical skills, the creativity, the biological content of the picture and the eco-friendly approach of the photographer.
We will have different, high profile sponsors that will distribute interesting awards; at the same time, all the participants will be back home with a newer and deeper vision of underwater activity and especially of underwater photography.
